A space where your whole story is welcome.

I work integratively, which means support is shaped around you—not a one-size-fits-all approach. Person-centred practice sits at the heart of my work, alongside solution-focused, motivational, transactional analysis and trauma-informed approaches.

A note from me

You are not “too complex”.

You may have lived through trauma, change or years of feeling misunderstood. That does not make you a lost cause. If I am not the right person for a particular need, I will explain that with honesty and care—not leave you carrying a label.

Not every tool works for every person. You are invited to try what feels supportive, adapt what doesn’t and leave anything that isn’t for you. There is no right way to pause, reflect or breathe.

Life · The person behind Florish

Hi, I’m Dembi.

A counsellor, mum, lifelong learner—and a real person behind the professional title.

I’m a qualified integrative counsellor and BACP registered, with 14 years’ experience across health and social care. I have supported children, young people and adults through complex health needs, mental health challenges, neurodivergence and life-changing experiences.

I also live with ADHD and dyslexia. I understand that support needs to be clear, flexible and free from shame. Florish grew from wanting to offer more than a counselling room: a place to relate, reflect and feel less alone.
